Amanda M. Cetas is the author of the award-winning historical fiction adventure series, A Country for Castoffs. She was inspired to write these stories from two decades of researching her own family history. The first three installments can be viewed below, while the fourth is in production.

She taught diverse grade-level and Advanced Placement courses in American, European and World history to high school and middle school students for fourteen years.
​
Amanda lives in Tucson, Arizona for most of the year with her husband and two little Yorkie mixes. She escapes when she can to the ever-changing Sea of Cortez in Puerto Peñasco, Mexico, the awe-inspiring mountain forests of Northern Arizona, and anywhere her SUV and travel trailer can take her. She has three grown children and four amazing grandchildren to keep her active!​
